Product Overview:

New in 2015, The Sanity G6 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System delivers negative pressure to promote wound healing. Progressive Wound Care's NPWT (Negative Pressure Wound Therapy) system completely prevents contact between the caregiver, patient, and infectious material.

The Sanity G6 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System System's disposable air pump is located inside the patented disposable canister itself, so there's no communication between the air or fluid with the internal workings of the unit. When it comes time to change the canister, the pump is simply disposed of, along with the canister, and replaced with a fresh one. This self contained wound care system eliminates many of the repairs associated with viscous exudate.

More Information

Progressive Wound Care's newly introduced Sanity G6 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System is a negative pressure wound therapy unit that is both lightweight and easy to operate. There are two unique features that set the Sanity G6 System apart. The first is the unique system that moves the air pump from within the unit to inside the canister, insuring no fluids or odors can enter the unit and lead to cross contamination and other infection control concerns. The second unique feature is the patented venting system that ensures the vacuum delivered at the wound site matches that set at the controls.

Unique Vacuum Containment
The Sanity G6 Unit does not use an internal air pump to provide vacuum to a collection canister. Instead, the pump is contained within the disposable canister, fully and physically isolated from the Sanity G6 drive unit. This isolation eliminates the possibility of canister overflow and aspiration of the infectious material inside the unit. Safely sealed, the self contained design reduces risks to patients and caregivers. Like the time proven IV pump, such designs are readily recognized as superior for cross contamination controls.

Best in Class Portability
The Sanity G6 System weighs less than 2 lbs., including the carry bag. This lightweight design makes it 33% to 50% smaller than competing systems. The unit can be operated both while upright or when laying flat on one side, making it flexible for the ambulatory patient. Battery power provides true mobility to travel, shop, visit the clinic, and much more, and a carry pouch ensures discreet therapy.

Important Features
The small and lightweight Sanity G6 System is easy to operate, with user-friendly controls. The unit operates silently, but also features vital operation alarms.

Clinical Considerations
The Sanity G6 System's vacuum ranges from -50 to -175 mmHg. There is an intermittent therapy setting option, which can be set based on the particular type of wound being treated and the clinical objectives. A full set of alarms for common faults, and the novel venting system inhibits stagnation of viscous exudate in the canister line.

Sanity Dressings
The Sanity G6 System includes a wide variety of NPWT (Negative Pressure Wound Therapy) dressing sizes and styles. The optional GelTex NPWT kits are supplied with LipoGel, a unique lipid-based wound gel that reduces commonly experienced pain of foam dressing changes. Optional IodoDoam is a controlled release iodine foam dressing that can be used underneath the foam dressings to provide a unique and advantageous antimicrobial option.

Foundation of Confidence
The Sanity Wound Management System has been used clinically and critically evaluated for over 10 years. Clinical centers in both the US and Europe use the system in both home and acute settings. Strong advantages of the Sanity Wound Management System that have been consistently cited are: high quality, small size, ease of use, cost, and the low risk of cross contamination.

The Sanity G6 System Package includes a Sanity G6 pump drive unit, 300 ml canister, a/c adapter, carry pouch, and user manual.
