Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, occurs when a blood clot obstructs the normal flow of blood to a person's lower limbs and is typically accompanied by symptoms of tenderness, pain, and swelling. In order to address this condition and the associated discomfort, the leg muscles must be stimulated to encourage contraction and activity. The Multi-FLO Combo Unit uses expandable sleeves to squeeze blood from the leg's deeply located veins, stimulating these muscles. The process is painless and has a long history of documented effectiveness.
The Bilateral Calf and Bilateral Foot cuffs are designed to be used for prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis, enhancing venous and arterial circulation to assist in the healing of cutaneous ulcers and prevent venous stasis ulcers.
