More Information

The Liberty (tm) CMC Thumb Orthosis stabilizes the thumb joints without restricting movement of the wrist and other fingers. The thumb's metacarpal joint is fully supported and the wrist's carpometacarpal joints are partially supported. This Leatherette model is cotton-lined and perforated for breathability and offers firm support via stiff fabric and a steel reinforcing bar. The soft, durable hook strap threads through the wrist area so the splint is easy to put on with one hand. This model can be machine washed and air dried.

This product is excellent for my hand. I suffer from arthritis in the joints on my left thumb. The splint keeps my thumb from aching so badly. It’s so comfortable! Thanks for the great relief!

Too stiff and it chafes between thumb and index finger

Glove is still and digs into my skin. Not very flexible or mobile to use. Would not recommend.

Like the adjustable straps; helps to reduce the pain by keeping my thumb more stable.

Fits great and improves the stabilization of my thumb so the pain is much less.

very uncomfortable to wear and rough on your skin. My Dr. would not approve it.

I have other splints but I wanted one that wasnt black in color. I think it is well designed and less bulky than my other splints. But I did get the wrong size , I was not able to exchange it because of your policy . I had to stretch the thumb because it was too snug. Otherwise , I do like it.

I measured my thumb at the high end of small/low end of medium and ordered a medium. It was really much too short, a large would have fit better. Also, the part that arounds the tip of the thumb was too large and hard to wrap comfortable as a result. I trimmed off some of the thumb velcro, and it would have been nice to have been able to trim off some of the leatherette as well (cant because of the way it was designed.) Because it did fit well, it took a lot of playing around to get into a comfortable position. It is indeed VERY stiff (which is what I wanted) and did the job once I got it into position.

Much to rigid

This splint is about worthless. It is very difficult to put on due the way the stitching on the strap has to loop thru the slot on the other side. Also difficult to fit around the thumb due to the stiffness of the edges. The metal stay does not support the mcp joint well. Found a much better fitting splint at Walgreens for less than half the price. This was $35 wasted. Would be nice to be able to return it.
