The Bariatric EMR Hospital Scale by Seca Scales is built to prioritize safety and comfort. For patient safety, the steel handrail is firmly anchored to the platform, supporting patients who are unable to stand securely. This scale is designed for all patients of any age, except babies. The weight capacity is 800 pounds.

There is not a wakeup period. The weighing process immediately begins when the nurse scans the patient's barcode. The patient's name (or patient ID) is shown on the touch screen and the weighing process starts. The patient's weight is recorded in your choice of pounds or kilograms. To calculate the patient's Body Mass Index (BMI) or Body Surface Area (BSA), the nurse must manually input the patient's height. Other information is collected too, such as the time of the measurement. The patient data gathered is seamlessly transferred directly to any Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

The large platform is made of Bearclaw Glass, which is virtually break-resistant glass for extreme durability and hygiene. The glass not only looks good, but it also ages slower than normal plastic scale platforms. Transporting this scale throughout your facility is painless, thanks to its robust rubber wheels.
