Operating Instructions
You should always check for worn parts and loose bolt connections prior to each use. All operators should familiarize themselves with all the Aqua Creek EZ 2 Pool Lift lift components and their intended uses. Operators should also be comfortable with all lifting procedures before attempting to lift a person from the lift.
An operator is required to transfer the person being lifted into the pool. There are two different methods for loading the occupant into the harness, depending on the user's physical ability. If they are physically able, they can place themselves into the harness without assistance. If the user has very little use of their upper body, it will be necessary to follow these steps:
1. Raise the lift and the boom arm. Roll the user under the lift and make sure to engage the wheelchair's brakes.
2. With the user facing the operator, slide the mesh seat sling under the user while they are still sitting in the wheelchair.
3. Attach the lift's chain to the sling and overhead hanger bar, making sure that there is not excess slack in the chain.
4. Make sure the chair connections are secure and that the mesh sling is even on both sides of the user.
5. Pump the hydraulic ram handle to the raise the user to the height wanted.
6. Rotate the lift so the user is positioned above the pool, making sure to never push on the actuator. Use the turn arm or place one hand on the boom and one hand on the mast.
7. Lower the user into the water by pressing the handle towards the ram until it depresses the release pin. This hydraulic ram automatically controls the rate of descent for safety and control. Lower until the user in submerged enough in the water to allow an easy transfer.
8. Repeat this same procedure to remove the user from the water.
9. When not in use, remove the sling, hanger bar, and mast from the anchor socket and replace the protective cap.
